UWF is a top notch school in Florida. I highly recomend it. The faculty are excellent! If you are willing to put in the work, then the faculty will bend over backwards for you.

The education department is a disgrace. It is disorganized and the instructors are not interested in helping students. They like to see their students fail. Carol Tanksley is an instructor there. Whatever you do, do not take her class. I have never been under a more incompetent instructor. She is very rude as well. She sets her students up for failure, her clarity is non-existent and she refuses to help her students when they are struggling but instead belittles them in the process. She is just one of the many instructors that give the department a bad rap. Stay away from Education as a major at UWF. Trust me, it'll be beneficial to your sanity in the future.
