It's my first year at UWF and IQuite BrightOther
It's my first year at UWF and I must say it's been one of my worst years at a school ever. I really feel that UWF is based upon alot of false advertising. For example in UWF brochures the advertise the university as being close to the beach it's not. When theres open houses for parents and prospective students all the places in the food cafeteria are open on a Saturday that never happens unless its an open house. The campus is beautiful 2 months of the time most people are there during the winter no one cares and the campus gets pretty bad looking. The people here pretty much are either rude or not open to having more friends than their own group so unless you go Greek good luck making friends. There's plenty of fake people who won't hang out with you unless you do what they want. Theres no football team just soccer so don't expect alot of school spirit. The homecoming dance was a joke, theres nothing to do on campus during the weekend which is why most people leave so if you don't have transportation I wouldn't recommend coming here. As for crime on campus my bike got stolen the first semester and it was locked so that pretty much explains itself. The campus doesn't have many lights around at night so make sure your with someone if you walk around at night. As for academics most of my teachers have been kind and are very helpful some really don't care. I had a professor who rushed through 4 lessons in math in one day just to make his deadline. All in all I would not recommend anyone to this school it's a waste of money you might as well go to community college its a lot cheaper and you'll honestly probably have a better experience. Don't listen to these fluff reviews that make UWF sound amazing and like the best school in FL there lies, save your money and go somewhere else is the best advice I can give you

Question
This university is pathetic.Quite BrightEducation
This university is pathetic. The instructors lack integrity and have no desire to be effective educators. There is only one exception to this and that is Dr. Solarski. She is the only thing about this institution that is credible. If you are considering UWF, don't! You will have to jump through hoops to get accepted and then you will have to jump through ongoing hoops once enrolled. William Barnes, in particular, is arrogant, rude, and extremely disrespectful. If you like being treated like a child then his class is for you. However, if you consider yourself to be an intelligent human being looking for a better way of life through education then signing up for any class that is taught by him is out of the question. Unless, of course, you wish for someone to demean you as they "try" to call themselves teachers.

Question
Im a freshman at UWF, and I absolutelyQuite BrightPerfomance Arts
Im a freshman at UWF, and I absolutely love it. UWF is a great schol with very friendly students and an almost very helpful and friendly staff. It is definitely small compared to schools such as FSU and UF, but I honestly think that is a major plus. I would not call UWF very small I think the size is just perfect, your teachers will know your name and you will be able to meet new people everyday. It is up to YOU to get involved, there are many clubs/organizations available to you if you take advantage of them, and I fully encourage you to do so it makes campus life so much more amazing. I encourage you to live on campus! It is an awesome beyond awesome experience! But if you do commute I recommend keeping up to date with all the cool on campus events! Overall, life as argonaut if great, just make sure to study hard and get involved. Pensacola is...nice, but you definitely have to search out you hang out spots. I am a theatre majpr and love it! The professors are phenomenol!
