UWF's Humanities department providedOther
UWF's Humanities department provided me with the education I needed to think criticially in my job, and gave me a passion to share that kind of knowledge with students of my own.

Question
Housing is HORRIBLE! If someone assaults another personNot so brightBiology
Housing is HORRIBLE! If someone assaults another person on campus they just end up getting moved around to be another students problem instead of kicked off campus. I got stuck with a psycho girl who had been moved due to physical violence. Needless to say, she started problems with me which I reported, and I GOT THE BLAME! Housing kept telling me to stick it out, and even had the nerve to try and bully ME into moving rooms when this crazy girl was moved into mine! The same thing happend to a guy who lived upstairs. He got stuck with an ex criminal on parole, and housing did nothing.

Also, if you're a biology major, STAY AWAY!! science labs need to be updated, and there is only ONE academic advisor for the major. So be prepared to be told that you are unable to meet with him (even though it is required for registration) and fight to get an appointment. He won't try to work with you at all either. The administration will make excuses saying, "Oh he has thousands of students" and "He tries his best to help everyone." He doesn't. He even refused to do a phone appointment with me and other students until I contacted the dean and he reluctantly gave in.

Classes are NOT small like they advertise. My science lecture contained around 200-300 students, and my psychology class even more. Go to a better small Florida college if that is what you crave. As for this one, its a joke. Its like one big Community College, and the campus is hideous.Thank goodness I am transferring. Don't believe the hype, this school has its priorities wrong, and they're out for your money. They're like one big business.

Question
Faculty in advising are rude! They don't careQuite BrightBiology
Faculty in advising are rude! They don't care about you even though your tuition is paying their salary! If you have a question each faculty member has a different answer. It seems like no one knows what they are talking about. They talk down to you.My suggestion: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL AS POSSIBLE UNLESS YOU WANT A MISERABLE TIME IN COLLEGE OR WANT TO BE SCREWED OVER BY STAFF MEMBERS WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ADVISE.
