The University of Florida

It's a good school. no matter what kinda person you are, you'll fit in. the profs are usually approachable and quality of academics varies from department to department. for ex. i know engineering here is pretty good. i know cos i'm doing a double major in biomedical eng and biology. but you have to go after what you want cos as expected from a big public school, you're nothing more than a number to the admin and you're going to find a good amount of red tape.

I enjoyed my four years at UF. I was a PR major - in a program that rates one of the highest in the nation. I found my coursework to be challenging and fulfilling. There is so much to do, see and get involved in at UF - but you have to be a go-getter. If you don't initiate involvement in activities you can expect to get left behind. That being said, there are lots of friendly people around campus that can help you learn about the different groups to join. Don't be shy, ask. I promise you, your college experience will be richer for it.
