The University of Florida

University of Florida is an overall great college. I reeived excellent head at any hour of the day/night and it was to my satisfaction. I highly reccomend the school to anyone planning to attend.

General Advice - know what you want to do before you get a degree. I got a degree in a field that requires internships before you can have a career. That was not an option so I am completely out of my field.

Overall my experience was good. The faculty knew what they were talking about and the facilities were excellent. I got plugged into a church my junior year and it really changed my life for the better.

Talk to the campus preachers!The great thing about Florida is that it is massive and has lots of resources. I went to a small school before and that was an immediate contrast. The bad thing is that the school is massive ~50,000 students. Thats a lot of folks.

Focus yourself on your goals...measure your progress objectively at measured intervals.
be pro-active in your own education plan...do not rely on someone else to "make it happen" for you.
seek the advice, guidance, wisdom of others (a professor in your field of study perhaps)...they have "been there/done that" and can give good direction to you.

have fun ! be adventuresome !
experiment...challenge yourself with new ideas...
no one remembers your screwups in college, and moreover, nobody really cares !
remember: you are there to learn much more than what's in the textbooks or the library.
Going to UF is much like "real life"...no one is going to spoonfeed you...you have to "grab" the opportunity...don't wait to be asked..."GO FOR IT" !
