Question
UF is such a big university it doesAverageUndecided
UF is such a big university it does have many varied resources. Like others have said, internships, volunteer services, research opportunities, clubs, greek life all abound. Know there is serious competition among the top students. The problem is, unless you are aggressive and have a clear goal, you may get lost in a sea of confusion and loneliness. No one here is going to hold your hand and comfort you. You have to be an adult, find what you want, and pursue it. Faculty is decent, intelligent, helpful. I have yet to meet a professor that inspires me at all though. Lack of socratic teaching in my classes, pedagogy is profs' discourses to seas of stares. Most students are really into the Gators, a strong uniting factor for the University. Funny, it seems here you either drink and party, or you are cold sober and focus on your studies. I haven't met someone really in b/w. However your personality is, join social groups and get invovled or you will feel isolated and not fully enjoy your college experience.

Question
Everything from academics to social life, clubs, sports,Super Brilliant
Everything from academics to social life, clubs, sports, and night life, are all outstanding ... if you are independent, creative, gutsy, and very determined. My major, my job, my clubs, and my fun are all the result of me going above and beyond the average student and LOOKING for opportunities. This all may sound obvious, but many students enter UF and become uninvolved or disenchanted because they expect things to come to them, which will NOT happen at this University. This is either a great thing or a bad thing, depending on your personality. Once here, the coursework can be as hard or easy as you choose. Do well, think for yourself, if there isn't something here (which is rare), create it. I designed my own major and conduct my own research. It's all possible at this huge university.
