For anyone who is looking to be anQuite BrightEducation
For anyone who is looking to be an individual and think on their own this is not the place. If you are from a sheltered backround and need to be treated like you are 12 this is your place. The rules that are stressed as important have nothing to do with spiritual growth or well being. If you need a babysitter...PCC is your place

Question
I attended PCC for two years and cannotBusiness - Management and Administration
I attended PCC for two years and cannot say that it was a valuable experience. The philosphy on the organization is not conducive to developing young Christian peopl einto effective contributign memebrs of society. The exception is for those it selects to add to it's staff. I remeber having a roomate who's parents were on staff at PCC. He was required to work for the college while he was in high school if he wanted to live in his parent's home. HE also could not live with his parents after high school if he didn't work for PCC. It was extrememly socialist, in my opinion.

The issue of pysical contact with the opposite sex is also a major problem Really, is it a bad idea to let young comples go on dates and do the norma things young decent couples do - I don't htink so. I have to say I saw more than one couple go wild over break becuase they culdn't do anything at school. COllege kids have sex, you can't stop that. And I know they're having sex on the PCCcampus now - I know I did. Iand ya know what? I never got caught!

If you're planning to work for PCC or a strickly separatist christian instituation that loves PCC - then go here. If you're going to work in the real world, outside of a christian organization. You're just asking for a life of hardache and internal conflict matriculating at PCC.

If you're young and healthy, go somewhere you can explore an education and you spirituallity and practive the morality your faith requires at your own pace. Sure you'l make mistakes. Maybe you'll sleep with pepople you regret sleeping with, maybe you'll get drunk and never be able to stand the smell of rum again. Neither of these things will kill you if you're a smart person. Making the decision not to attend PCC is the first indication of your intelligence. If you can't see the logic in this thinking, then sign on the line and follow the path they lay for you.

Question
If one were able to take a lookQuite BrightBiology
If one were able to take a look at the backgrounds of most of the people who give negative opinions about PCC, he would find that the majority of them have either been kicked out or had such horrible attitudes from the beginning that enjoying their experience was impossible. I won't lie and say that being at PCC has been the easiest thing I've ever been through; in fact, it's been the hardest and at times, the worst. But I do believe that I've truly grown by attending here.

Academically, PCC is excellent. Most of the teachers, even the ones that are hard to understand, are willing to take time out of their schedule (even personal time) to make concepts understandable to you. This is especially true of the science department. I was rarely turned away by a teacher when I asked for help.

The rules are unbelievable. But anyone that attends PCC should not have that come as a surprise. An intelligent student learns about the college he wishes to attend before going there. Thus, if a student is aggravated by the rules and has a bad attitude over it, he has to choices: one, realize that he has chosen to go there (presumably because it is God's will and God's will doesn't change) or two, yield to a bitter spirit which will only make the experience even more horrible.

My first two years were horrible. This was due to my roommates and/or the administration's refusal to assist in the situations. During those two years, I held on to every bit of anger possible and projected my feelings onto every aspect of PCC. However, by my junior year, I had come to realize that rules are rules and I could still have fun regardless. When somethings irritates you, the best way to overcome it is to remember how dumb the rules can be, but that in five years, it won't matter. I think of all the experiences I've had and the wonderful friends I've made, and although I don't know whether I would go back to PCC, I wouldn't change the fact that I have attended there.
