There are many good things about PCC.AverageEducation
There are many good things about PCC...such as you can learn many lessons. I quickly learned there are very few people worthy of your trust and friendship. You will also learn that when someone wants to hear about your problems, you may want to check them for a recording device, or it will come back to bite you. Not all authority figuires are as evil as they can be made out to be, some of the floor leaders are pretty decent guys, ready to have some fun, but beware of anyone with a combover. If they sing in an Ensamble, don't make eye contact. While you are at PCC you will also find out how stupid you look in a suit, what it's like to be tucked into bed by a stranger, What it's like to have a non-romantic relationship, and what it's like to go to bed every night at eleven. You will never have to worry about what you will be doing for spring break, or which chick you will be hooking up with over the breaks. You will not play Poker with your buddies and you definitely will not be playing strip poker with any sweet ladies...unless you are into your roomates, which i have heard rumors about, not that I'm judging!! Basically, if you chose to attend this college you will give up every right to freedom of expression and freedom of speech, your rights to peaceful assembly, and your God given right to check out some sweet honeys on the beach.

my point is, make sure your ready for the sacrifices you will have to make, be prepared for a complete lack of trust, and a serious double standard.

it's your decision, but i think you should educate yourself as to the policies and practices of any college before you even think about attending.

nothin but love ya'll
powell

Question
PCC's Computer science major focuses mostly on programmingComputer Science
PCC's Computer science major focuses mostly on programming concepts. Dont go here if you want to learn ANYTHING about hardware. Yes the rules are strict, but you can always find friends there that feel the same way you do and together you can get through it. Now the school allows cell phones to be used in dorms and has a limited wireless internet setup going. Things appear to slowly be getting better. Mad Props to Mr. Mickey Stemen!!!! The best computer science teacher at PCC!!!

Question
As many have said, PCC is not forEducation
As many have said, PCC is not for everyone. It is important to seek God's will for your life. If God leads you to PCC, the rules will not be an issue. Yes, they are strict, however knowing what goes on in most other colleges, I believe it is refreshing to know you can attend a college without subjecting yourself to many ungodly things.

Take those four years to learn and enjoy life. You can date without the great temptation of sex. You can have good clean fun. You can meet and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Yes, there are rules, but since they are for everyone, it's really not a big deal to follow them. Dr. Horton wants what is best for the students of PCC. I can't speak for all the administration, but I can say Dean Ohman loves the students and does his best to be fair with them.
