Wow!!!Business - Management and Administration
Wow!!! People have their opinions about PCC. I am an undergraduate alumni of PCC, which created a great start to my education. I have an MBA from an accredited university. I found PCC overall to be a good experience. Yes rules are stringent, but helpful in most instances. Some however, I could live with out, but no harm was done. Like an college/university it is not perfect and is open to whoever is willing to attend. After reading the reviews, I feel as though some people did not make an informed decision before enrolling. I am glad I stuck it out. I have many excellent memories, good friends and character traits because of PCC. Choose wisely everyone and don't bash. It is your choice and PCC is how it is and will always be.

Question
PCC is not a horrible school like manyEducation
PCC is not a horrible school like many people on this review board make it out to be. There are many rules but everyone else is following them along with you. I was an Early Childhood major and the problem I have with PCC is that the college is unaccredited. This causes huge problems when you decide that a Christian school is not the place for you to teach. I am engaged to a terrific guy who happens to be Catholic. We have decided that a Christian school is not the place for me to teach, because they all require that you attend their usually Baptist church. Now I am having a difficult time securing a "secular" job because of PCC's lack of accredidation. Another thing to consider is that most Christian schools that you would be qualified to teach at have much lower salaries as well as limited benefits like insurance, and no retirement. Of course if you are satisfied with laying your treasures up in heaven then this won't be a problem. Lastly, the Early Childhood program has few classes thgat are specifically for Early Childhood. Most of your core teaching classes will be with the elementary majors and you will be taught to teach on a fifth/sixth grade level. Not practical in the real world. Think about other colleges because they are out there.
