Question
I feel that my experience at Pensacola ChristianEducation
I feel that my experience at Pensacola Christian College was one of the best of my life. I truly enjoyed my college experience. The education and preparation that I received in the field of education was second to none. I absolutely feel that my college has helped me in the education field. The only thing I wish I had done differently was to study harder my freshman year and not have so much fun! I recommend that every Christian high school student prayerfully consider PCC. It changed my life for the better!

Question
The biggest warning I have about this schoolQuite BrightPolitical Science
The biggest warning I have about this school is that it is NOT accredited, which will hurt you if you decide to transfer and/or go to graduate school. Any degrees and/or credit hours are virtually worthless to any secular institution.

Spiritually:
This school replaces God with religion; and equates following the rules of the school to following the will of God. To disagree is sin. "Floorleaders" enforce stupid and sometimes nonexistant or unwritten rules in a cutthroat manner, and genuinely think that they are serving the Lord by doing so.

Socially:
You will not have the freedom to do as you please; you will be treated like a child. You must "sign in" and "sign out" whenever you go off campus, telling the school where you're going and when you will be back. You can also be "campused;" that is, not allowed to go off campus at all, if you reach a certain number of demerits.

Another thing you should be aware of is that this school also has a paranoia regarding premarital romantic relationships, and does its best to discourage any physical interaction at all (ie. hand holding, kissing, hugging, etc.).

Academically:
In General Education classes (speech/communications especially), many of the "faculty" are simply students getting a Master's degree at the college. However, once you get into your core classes the faculty's education level rises. Generally speaking, the faculty are friendly and approachable...and most really do care about individual students. The Political Science program is headed up by some great faculty members. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who has already decided on going to PCC. Just be sure you're in it for the long haul (four years), due to the aforementioned lack of accredidation. Mr. Gwillim and Dr. Bowen are outstanding professors, and you will be challenged by them both in the PoliSci program there.
