This college is set on a beautiful location.Other
This college is set on a beautiful location. The education you get there is decent. But there are major drawbacks for attending.

If you live in the dorm you will be especially familiar with all the rules of the college; much more so than if you don't live on campus. I thought I could handle all the rules, and did for four years. Once I started dating someone seriously, though, I realized how much more there was to this college than if I would have not been in a serious relationship.

The college monitors most social activity on the campus - and tries to monitor as much off-campus activity as it can. The Deans call you up to their office because snoopy floor leaders imagine that you have done something you probably haven't done.

I started feeling like I was being constantly watched there, and I wasn't a misbehaving student AT ALL. I was the kind that follows the rules as much as possible. The price is right, though. Beautiful place, decent education if you can stand all the rules and being watched when you step out of your dorm.

Question
It's ironic that I have been asked byQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
It's ironic that I have been asked by the college to write a positive review of them on today of all days. I am trying in vain to get into grad school for the 2007-2008 school year, and I have learned that the school of my choice is accepting me on a probational condition.

I have good grades and a good GRE score. The problem? Accrediation...or lack thereof. The college will talk until they're blue in the face that this doesn't matter, but it does. It matters greatly. And PCC is, quite simply, not accredited.

My problem with the college has nothing to do with the rules, which I happily endured for four years. My problem is that the college is so prideful that they won't deal with accreditation. Moreover, they care very little about the average student who is just trying to get an education without indoctrination. I will never allow my child to go to PCC, and I know I'm not alone.

Question
I loved going to school at Pensacola.Other
I loved going to school at Pensacola. It was strict, but the teachers were great, the courses challenging, and the atmosphere fun. I made great friends and have many good memories. There was a high level of excellence in everything that was done by the school, and that same level of excellence was expected of us. It would be good for prospective students to realize that Pensacola is not accredited by the state as this may affect their graduate school options. Pensacola made that choice because of their strong beliefs in Christian education not needing sanctioning by the state. However, Pensacola has a very good reputation and many students have gone on to be accepted into graduate programs. Just look into it before you go and make sure you are aware of your options. Go there knowing that you will not experience the freedom of a state school...lights out at 11:00, chaperoned dates when going off campus, lots of rules that you might think are rediculous. Don't go there if you know you will smother. If you can handle it, go for it and enjoy the great fellowship, the caring teachers, the focus on the Bible.
