I enjoyed my college experience overall.Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
I enjoyed my college experience overall. The academics where fantastic and I was able to learn from professors who where masters at what they do. I felt that I was completely prepared for the work force as a direct result of my education at PCC. They gave a good balance of teaching both technical skills for your field and also teaching you how to be professional and ethical in the workforce. I also was able to meet friends from all over the country and have alot of fun with them. However, PCC is not for everyone. If you are planning on attending PCC you must be dedicated to what you came there to learn. There are many rules and many of them silly for college aged people. There are also many people who hate it there and will try to discourage you from staying, and to top it off there are incidents that happen regularly involving teachers and the administration that will discourage you. You must know that it is God's will for you to attend PCC before you do. Pray hard and if you know that God wants you there, He will help you get through it and have a great time dispite discouragments along the way. Another thing is that when attending, you must find good friends that for the most part like the school and will not lead you astray. Also, you must listen to the messages from the Bible and try hard to grow as a Christian. This is another thing that will help you through your time at PCC. Hey, I loved it at PCC. I think the school is a great school that has a lot to offer. You just have to go into it with the right attitude. Also, before you go into it, pray for the leaders of the school. They need it- believe me!

Question
Pensacola Christian College was a very positive experienceEducation
Pensacola Christian College was a very positive experience for me. Not only was it a great environment in which to grow spiritually and make solid friendships, but it was a challenging academic environment as well. Every single one of my education courses were challenging and preparatory for the teaching field I planned to enter. I have constantly used things learned in my classes at PCC in my career as a teacher. The name Pensacola Christian College alone on my resume speaks of excellence in the education field and has been a considerable factor in my employment at two different schools. I highly recommend PCC as an ideal training field for those who are serious about entering a teaching profession.

These comments are from an alumni of PCC--IBrightEducation
These comments are from an alumni of PCC--I could not have said it better, so I include them here as they reflect my thoughts exactly:

"I do...have issues with the hyper-control, unBiblical rigidity and lack of accountability that has damaged many good people over the years. I object to a philosophy that not only discourages debate and discussion, but punishes one for attempting to engage in it for any reason — noble or otherwise — with them. If you aren’t willing to swallow their positions in total, then you are an outsider, enemy and will be cut off. It’s just not right.

...
"Make no mistake, there is something toxic in the atmosphere that exists there. We can only pray that eventually leadership will assume the reins of this great work who will lead it to a more healthy spiritual state that holds fast to sound doctrine, but also allows a measure of Biblical liberty in the exercise of one’s own faith without having to leave the institution they love to attend or serve."
