Positive Negative Neutral Advice
IMPORTANT - Any respect I had for myEducation
IMPORTANT - Any respect I had for my alma matter is now gone. A friend who works there just shared that the Administration has secretaries falsifying positive entries here to try to offset the honest opinions which are overwhelmingly negative. Think carefully about how the things you read sounds. You will notice this does not sound like a professional promotion. Any college willing to stoop to this level - imagine four years there!!!

Question
I fully recommend Pensacola Christian College to anyoneEducation
I fully recommend Pensacola Christian College to anyone looking for an excellent top-notch education from a Christian world view. What I most remember about PCC is that the professors really do require and promote excellence in the classroom. Just because it is a Christian college doesn't mean that the classwork is easy. Since I graduated from a secular state college with my bachelor's degree, I can say that the master's level work at PCC was truly many levels above what was required of me at state college. Be prepared to work hard and write papers well!

The other significant thing I remember about PCC was the preaching by Pastor Schettler and his availability to the graduate students. What I learned in his Sunday School class still bears fruit in my life today. He and his wife were truly "transparent" in showing us that real people, normal people can be used of God if we allow Him to have His rightful place in our lives.

Question
PCC provided a very strong academic foundation forPreLaw and Legal
PCC provided a very strong academic foundation for law school. I believe I was more prepared than the majority of my classmates in law school. The professors were helpful and encouraging, and no matter how much you hate "Advaced Grammar," it was one of the best preparations for legal writing. Although PCC is accredited, I had no trouble getting into several top tier law schools and competing after law school for jobs at the largest law firms in the country.

On the social side, I mostly hated PCC. I thought the rules were ridiculous, unnecessary, and generally destructive for personal development. You are taught not to question any of the reasoning for the rules (complete opposite of the "real world") and the heavy-handed administration left me feeling frustrated and wishing I had gone elsewhere. It was not the rule book that was the problem, it was the attitudes of the students enforcing the rules and the myrid of "unwritten rules." Common response to "I have never heard of that rule and it's not in the handbook": "It's always been a rule; we are just now enforcing it again."Students considering PCC should simply know what environment they are entering. The education is excellent; the price is unbeatable; but the rules are oppressive. I know plenty of people who went through PCC and greatly enjoyed their time there. But had I known how students were treated by the administration and the Dean's Office, I would have certainly gone elsewhere.
