PCC is known for two things: Strict rulesHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
PCC is known for two things: Strict rules and high academic standards. If you really want to learn about a certain field/ subject, then PCC would be an excellent choice. However if you want to learn how to become an independent adult, you might want to look elsewhere. The rules have tendency to create 20-22 year- old adolescents. Basically, "Big-Brother" has a little too much oversight. However, if you can look beyond this and if you relly want a solid education, PCC is right for you. But make sure accreditation does not affect your future plans. PCC is not and currently refuses to become accredited.

It's been said before, but know what you're getting into with this school.
At this school, you will be safe and not have to deal with people who came to school just to party. If you are a Christian (and you should be to go here), you will meet people who can be a great help in your spiritual walk. Many of the teachers are wonderful people. The nursing program is tough, but excellent training.

HOWEVER, you will be asked to conform to many rules - and I guarantee you won't agree with all of them. You will meet some people (who unfortunately often end up in leadership roles)who are so petty and unkind that you wonder how they can call themselves Christian. And the school places an extremely high value on what they consider to be a good public image, sometimes at the expense of their students sanity. (You try relaxing at the mall with pantyhose on!)

For four years, I sucked it up and followed their rules. I couldn't do it now that I've been out on my own. You do give up a lot of individuality. If you're the kind of person who tends to get in to minor trouble, don't go to PCC. You'll be miserable. One last note - if you are thinking of an education major, don't bother coming here. You may know what you're doing at the end, but you won't be able to prove to a prospective employer that you know what you're doing.
