The graduate program at PCC is excellent.Education
The graduate program at PCC is excellent. As a graduate assistant (which paid ALL my bills during the semester!), I had to learn to balance work responsibilities and social life and class work. Work responsibilities ranged from actually teaching classes to working in the college secretarial office to working in academy food service. I was able to see how many areas worked to make a wole of the school. Social opportunities abounded. My own course work was demanding and relevant, but the most beneficial part of classes was the peer interaction with other teachers seeking to become better teachers. I was able to discuss teaching methods with other teachers, gleaning new ideas and perspectives.

Grad school teachers were both the authority (as teachers) and peers (we worked along side them too). They were always approachable and helpful. The graduate program at PCC helped to make me a better person and a better teacher.

Question
PCC was a great experience.Education
PCC was a great experience. Not only did I have a top-notch education, I received actual experience in my field. Education is one of several majors well-known for excellence at PCC. Ed majors do practicums in their fields, observations and evaluations of actual teaching, and then top it off with an actual teaching internship. None of this is easy. The whole point of everything at PCC is to strive for excellence.

The only area people might have a problem with is rules. Yes, PCC is strict. They take their responsibility for the students very seriously. The best way to approach some of the seemingly-useless rules is to remember that you are getting a superior education at a well-respected institution. A student should be able to put up with some "silly" rules for three months at a time--the month long Christmas break and long summer break help.

Character building is considered to be just as important as the intellectual education at PCC. This is a Christian college in practice as well as name. All students know that from the start. If a student chooses PCC, he knows that there are strict rules that go along with the super-low tuition and excellent academics.Over all, I can do little other than recommend Pensacola Christian College.

Be prepared to follow rules that you do not agree with. Research this school very well and get all sides of the advice you get. It is not for everyone, but some people like the power they get while attending this school and they abuse it.
