Positive Negative Neutral Advice

Please, before attending PCC, think very hard and carefully about it. I attended PCC for a full year, and worked in the work assistance program. This past summer I was made to "voluntary withdraw" from PCC for something that I hadn't done because I couldn't prove my innocence. The school has excellent learning facilities, most of the teachers care about you and try their best to help you succeed, and the campus is very nice. But there is the negative side of it as well. The administration is over-bearing in the rules they have, the student body is so very prone to spreading rummors and lies that can ruin your reputation and get you kicked out, the schedule if you are a work student is very rigorous and not for one who can't handle going to bed as late as possible and getting up super early. The church is a show rather than a church. I learned more in one Bible class then I did from any of Mullenix' messages. Saw many people come, and go. More than half of the freshman class leaves after the first year. Basically my advice coming from a person that has been there, PCC might be for you, or it might not be for you, research it out very carefully, ask people you know who went recently what it was like. Read the reviews, as some people have had a good experience there, while others haven't, and think very carefully before you invest time and money into it that you can't get back.

This college is OPPRESSIVE! Please think twice before going here. I wish someone would've told me the same thing. I can't even describe all the things I had to go through while I was there. You are treated like a ten year old child. It is very frustrating and stressful.

This is DEFINITELY not a college anyone should be looking into...unless you wish to be a manipulating minister. The administration values tradition and "biblical" values, despite the fact that we live in a multicultural society focusing more on scientific truth than ancient superstitions.

Their overbearing rules stifle emotional and intellectual growth of its students. You cannot go off campus with someone of the opposite gender. Everyone has a curfew. Everyone must attend the same closeminded, cultish church where statements like "gays (and yes they did use that word...one minister even said fags) are destroying America and will go to hell for it"; "Obama is the devil's servant"; and "Michael Jackson did the moonwalk straigh to hell" are common and get cheered.

I thought this would be a nice school. Close to the beach. People from all over the world. However, they show that from Day 1 they do not care about you as an individual. They just want your money and attendance to make them look large and profitable. The campus is terrible. Fences with barbed wire surround the premisise. The dorm rooms are very reminiscent of a SMALL prison cell. Worst of all...you can't lock your doors because they want to be able to walk in your room and be able to catch you doing "terrible" sins such as listening to your iPod. (There have been dozens of incidences of students staying in the dorm during church or some other event, sneaking into other rooms, stealing valuables, and leaving. the items are rarely recovered.) No student is given a key...so when the doors are locked from 10pm to 7am there is absolutely no way to get in your own dorm. This is just the tip of the iceberg in reference to PCC. Do not go there or support them. And if you are attending PCC, get out before you drink the kool aid.
