Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Pensacola helped me greatly to prepare to teachEnglish
Pensacola helped me greatly to prepare to teach in a Christian school. The internship was invaluable in preparing me for my first year. My advice is to seek the Lord completely in your college decision. Only He can direct you to where would be the best place for you. Also, if you are going to PCC or a similar college and you are considering education but do not want an internship, please understand that the educational experience of the internship far outweighs the burden of the workload. This will become more obvious to you as you enter the classroom.

I enjoyed my experience at PCC. I felt I got an excellent education, which has helped a lot in my chosen field--even though it's not a field associated with a Bible major, usually! (Juvenile detention.)

After reading a few dozen postings and checking out a few of the recomended web sites I see you either liked or disliked the time spent at PCC. I think it would be far more beneficial to review and critique each posting including mine with an objective point of view. You will hear great things and terrible horror stories, but it all boils down to the individual responding. I can guarantee that the majority of negative responses come from individuals that had this same attitude while attending PCC. If you start out with a bad attitude you are not going to lose it because you chose to go to a Christian College. It doesn't take long to see in what spirit these postings have been written. I was not a floor leader, member of an ensemble, collegian president or stand out student. I did well and enjoyed my time there immensely. I agree that there are alot of things I didn't understand about the rules, but that is hardly a criticism. There are more things that I disagree with in the jobs I have worked since graduation, but dealing with the rules there taught me I don't always have to agree to comply. No One Robbed me of my individuality. On the contrary. I had faculty members in the most difficult subjects that gave up their own free time to either go back over material I had questions with or even one teacher that allowed us to call him to go over chapters to make sure we had a grasp on the subject. Tell me another college where the faculty is willing to do that.Since Graduating. I have run a law firm training new attornies and para legals and I am currently working with the 3rd largest auto insurer in the country. I do very well with the education I recieved at PCC and the friendships I developed there have proven to be life long. I do not need to leave a defense for PCC here. The truth wether good or ill speaks for itself. I see the difference in my life. I can not express the gratitude I have for what God so richly blessed me with.
