Don't. PCC is a mere book-selling racket, as is the campus church it owns and operates. Take your money to a university that shows integrity and allows its students to ask questions.

Question
I have the unique position of being aBrightEducation
I have the unique position of being a student of PCC and also the parent of a student of PCC. When I attended the college near its beginning in the '70s, it was very strict but it was still a warm and caring environment. Academic levels were high and there was a sense of community and helpfulness among most of the faculty and staff. The administration was seen in a positive light. We always assumed that our children would also attend PCC because my spouse and I had such a great experience there. However, when our child arrived on campus in the late 90s things had dramatically changed. The academics were still good (though the unaccredited status is a BIG drawback), but the attitudes of the students and the authorities had taken a nosedive. The handbook was just a jumping off point for dozens and dozens of "unwritten rules" that would incur punishment when violated. Students can be expelled when their roommate gets into trouble if the administration suspects that the innocent party knew about his roommate's rule violations. My child was awakened in the wee hours of the morning with a flashlight shining in his eyes to be hauled into the hall and then into an office to be interrogated about contraband PC games rated "T" instead of the required "E" that his roommates supposedly had. My child did graduate, but after the intense pressure and fear caused by his experience there, my spouse and I have discouraged any of our other children from attending. You only need a rebel roommate to kill your chances of graduation. It's Russian Roulette.

Question
I graduated from PCC with a degree inPreLaw and Legal
I graduated from PCC with a degree in pre-law. Based on the education and excellence of faculty I found myself in the top 10% of my private Law School class. However, although the education is amazing for the tuition price the enviornment does not allow for somone who wants freedom. The school is highly regulated on verge on militaristic. Their is no appeal process or due process to hear or voice complaints or suggestions, there is not a student paper, and any attempts to participate in such activities are met with expulsion based on labeling you a dissident. I suggest that anyone who attends keep your head down, stay out of trouble, get your degree and move on. The education is a great deal for the price you pay if you are willing to give up 75% of your freedoms for four years.
