Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I am a current student of Pensacola ChristianBrightNursing
I am a current student of Pensacola Christian College, and I absolutely love it. Sure, there are many rules and standards that must be met if you would like to attend this college. Some people call it prison, but I highly disagree. The rules are there to help us, and whether or not you see it, they do. As a PCC student, I am so much more disciplined than students that come from "not-so-strict" colleges. And I'm not what they would refer to as"PCC" either. I've been stopped plenty of times for a blouse being too tight or a skirt being too short. Does it give you a great feeling when you are punished for something that isn't even wrong-of course not. However, these people are doing their job and are just following the rules. When I wanted to get angry with these floor leaders, I just reminded myself to count it all joy, and tried to learn from the situation. Maybe God is trying to humble you, or test your respect for authority, who knows. If you are "right" with the Lord though, He will show you. My advice to those planning to attend PCC is to just go in it with a positive attitude, do what you are supposed to do and you'll be fine. (Bashing the school will not get you anywhere, by the way.)

I was pressured by my pastor, friends and parents to attend PCC. I had KJV only rammed down my throat every Sunday and Wednesday night. I fortunately went to a high school that wasn't PCC and learned the truth. There is a legalistic atmosphere there and the students are like a bunch of rebellious prisoners waiting to break out. PCC is not the quality school it was 20 years ago.

I come from a relatively conservative background, butQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I come from a relatively conservative background, but PCC is extremely conservative, even to me. I always did well in high school and found the classes at PCC incredibly easy. In fact, the freshman history course material is the same book A Beka uses for 10th grade history. No challenge.

I thought I could bear all of the rules, but I couldn't. Skirts must be worn every day, you can't talk to guys outside of "unchaperoned areas" past 7 pm, and you can't be off campus past 10 pm, not to mention no movies and practically no music (only classical and choirs, really). Some info about the history program/advisors: Advisors are not the most helpful at PCC. Several people I know had advisors that didn't alert them to scheduling problems that made them graduate a semester to one year late. They will answer your questions if directly asked, "When do I need to take this class?" but will not go out of their way to help you.
