Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I don't think there will ever be aQuite BrightAccounting
I don't think there will ever be a place that is "perfect" in anyone's eyes. There will always be things you disagree with and have a hard time with, but that is life. By coming here, you put yourself under the rules, the authority, and you should learn to deal with it. Of course, I have problems with several of the rules and way things are dealt with here, but all in all, it is a decent place. Like I said, no place is perfect. The rules are sometimes frustrating, but contrary to popular belief, I don't think the rules are formed just to annoy/control students. I think that they are, in the administrations' opinion, for students' safety and betterment. I think that, as I am about to graduate, I have learned an incredible amount of self-discipline from attending PCC. My advice: realize what you are getting into before you come. Have a good attitude about everything, and it's really not bad. Notice the good stuff... like how the faculty is so accessible and really cares about the students, how good the food really is compared to other universities, how beautiful the campus is, how you can have good clean fun, etc. Do that and you will enjoy your college life here.

Question
I'm from a very conservative family in theSuper BrilliantComputer Science
I'm from a very conservative family in the upper Midwest. I took a trip to see the school and it looked good superficially.

I entered the Computer Science program in the Fall of 05' and transfered out after Fall 06'. The CS program was very weak, non of the teachers were leaders in their field and only one had a Doctors in Computer Science. The other departments where much better, the Math Department was very good and I easily moved into my new school.

Socially this school is horrible. Expect to hang out with a small group on maybe 10 people, without meeting many others. As I'm sure others have noted, the school has a tome of rules, most of which regard dealings with the opposite sex. I found myself lonely from the entire lack of human touch. Even guys hardly shake hands.
