Don't get me wrong, The Florida State UniversityQuite Bright
Don't get me wrong, The Florida State University is a great place to go. The greatest asset of this university is the professors, who in my experience, are extremely smart and very helpful. The main problem here is the students, usually very immature, loves to drink, and doesn't care about work. I feel sorry for the professors here that they are forced to teach such disrespectful and uncaring students. The social life on campus is primarily an extension of students high school friends, and their friends. Good luck if you are out of state, or don't know anyone. The vast amounts of people are overwhelming, and it is easy to melt into obscurity. However, I got a great grasp of the real world at FSU, and have been inspired to do something better; even if that means leaving the university.

Question
I just graduated in December from FSU, andQuite BrightPsychology
I just graduated in December from FSU, and I loved all four years here. The first year for me was rough- I hated change and was homesick, but I would have been that way no matter which school I chose. After getting used to it, FSU became amazing. I wasn't involved in Greek life at all and still had a great time. So if you're worried about that, don't be. Yeah, there is a big "Greek" population, but there is on most college campuses. Plus it's not really that big of a deal. Just because the school has a lot of students doesn't mean you can't be who you are...I do agree that the party scene is heavily present, but that's really college in general. It's honestly about your own choices.

The classes are big in your freshman year, but it's kind of fun and different. That goes away pretty quickly and most of your classes will be small and easy to talk to the teacher in.

Overall it's just a great school with a good vibe. It has it's good and bad points as any college will but there's something about Florida State that makes it worth it. Definitely have no regrets about coming here over the other schools. Some of the best years of my life by far

Question
If you would describe yourself as an 'individual',Quite BrightEnglish
If you would describe yourself as an 'individual', coming to this place will absolutely suck the life out of you. the classes are typically enormous and most students/teachers are arrogant beyond belief. the town is practically a wasteland. the music school is falling apart while there stands a million dollar stained glass monument of the football coach against the football stadium. if you aren't into the frat and/or football scene, don't even bother coming. this is the kind of place where bros in jeeps drive around the school blasting jack johnson and making derogatory comments to any girl who is relatively orange. most girls stay orange because there is a tanning booth ON CAMPUS.

sure, there is a small portion of people who are different - but those people are somewhat hard to find and because of their elitism are even harder to befriend. all in all, if you want to fall into obscurity, if you desire to be ignored and unnoticed, come here. remember, kids: the band creed was formed here. CREED. yeah. run away fast.
