Yale is an incredible place; the talent and opportunity here abounds to a point where other students are sometimes intimidating when you consider to what they are up or how intelligent they are. The faculty here greatly respects everyone as an academic individual, though not as much as a person (especially when it comes to things like activism). The students can be cold and self-absorbed but most everyone finds their niche. Overall, it is a great place. However, be warned, Yalies live in a bubble; many don't really have grounded concepts of what the real world is, especially considering how pampered the university keeps everyone here (it has an incredible amount of money!). This (lack of a concept of the real world) can make for arrogant, flighty students who often don't consider anyone other than themselves and their little worlds of perfection.

Question
Yale is a wonderful place to live andQuite BrightEnglish
Yale is a wonderful place to live and learn for four years. My classmates are friendly, intelligent, socially conscious, and motivated, and my professors are inspiring and committed to teaching. Together, they have already taught me so much. All professors at Yale are REQUIRED to teach undergraduates; I think that says a lot about Yale's commitment to its students. The undergraduate residential living system, which divides the student body into smaller communities, is unlike any other in the nation. Each student is randomly assigned to one of twelve residential colleges, each of which has its own dining hall, library, recreational facilities, and traditions. The colleges are as diverse as Yale itself, with resources almost as great, and each provides its students with a home base and a sense of continuity for four years. And contrary to rumor, Yale students do NOT study all the time! We take our work seriously, because God knows, we're not paying $2798034963845 a year for nothing, but we're also not paying $2798034963845 a year to live in the library. So we take advantage of all the resources this university has to offer -- we commit ourselves to extracurriculars, we volunteer in the community, we go to our friends' plays and athletic events, and of course, we party, like all crazy college students should.

After 2 years here, I can say withoutSuper BrilliantPolitical Science
After 2 years here, I can say without a doubt that Yale is more than I ever hoped it would be. I came here because the people seemed like they knew when it was time to study; but they knew how to have fun too. Yalies are an incredibly outgoing, enthusiastic bunch, and everybody here has a passion for what they do. Besides the incredible opportunities a community like Yale offers, the campus is beautiful, the professors always take time to meet with students, and there's always an a cappella group to entertain you!
