For years I have always thought about goingAveragePreVet and Veterinary
For years I have always thought about going to BelRea because it looked like a great school and I recently moved clear across the country to attend and now all I can say is...FALSE ADVERTISTEMENT. The ONE GOOD THING about BelRea is to have it on your resume bc YES it is a good school to have listed.HOWEVER I'm a first year student and its totally not what I expected. The school is smaller than a small town elementary school, the library is the size of a closet (which all books are under lock and key and the librarian is NEVER there)and the school is constantly cramped and you have to fight for a place to sit and a place to park. The rules are so strict, if u are even a minute late twice for a class u are dropped. The teachers seem to want to help you but if you even ask them for it good luck finding a time and place that they can sit with you and help. The classes are UNBELIEVABLY TOUGH and the teachers dont even stop to breathe let alone give you a chance to absorb what they are saying. (My Medical Terminology class alone I have made 750 flash cards for) It's false advertisement all together. The ONE AND ONLY GOOD THING about BelRea is having it on your resume, which is the only reason I am toughing it out. If I can't make it another quarter I'm transferring becasue the stress of it all is not worth it

I could have put a little more effort into references and gone to Purdue.

Question
All the school and faculty care about isQuite BrightPreVet and Veterinary
All the school and faculty care about is money. The school is falling apart and class sizes grow ridiculously every quarter. The hallways are so full of students waiting for classes that you are often unable to pass through. There are a select few teachers who are willing to help, but they are consistently undermined by others. There are always "favorites" and I have been literally yelled at (for personal reasons only) by a teacher in a locked room with one other "witness" teacher/counselor who just sat back and watched as the other personally degraded me and forced me to tears. Every day I have to focus on the animals and hope that I am gaining enough knowledge to help them when I graduate.
