The more time I spend here, the more I question UCLA's reputation. It's okay, I just thought it would be much more competitive. I wish people weren't so absorbed in the athletic program, especially the professors. Academics do suffer sometimes because of it.

University of Cheating Lewd Athletes.
University of California for Lackluster Academics.
There is no such thing as a student-athlete here at UCLA.
There is only an athelete. The Administration and students care so much more about athletics than academics. Hasn't anyone outside this university ever wondered how all the meat head Football and Basketball players are able to pass all their classes and remain academically eligible to participate in athletics. Perhaps somemone should look at the classes and grades of the Basketball Team before they travel to San Antonio, TX for the Final Four. Moreover, the majority of these Meat Heads don't attend class, or if they do attend, they definitely don't participate in class or finish their term papers. In fact, most of them mock their professors and make fun of students who are trying to participate and learn in class. Most of them don't even graduate with a degree. If they do, by chance, finish four years, it is simply because they cheated their way through while their professors, fellow classmates, or administrators were spineless, looked the other way and kept their lips shut.

This "jock school (aka, Hell Hole)" is extremely overrated. The only reason this university ranks higher than other schools on national academic rankings is because the university adminstration Does NOT include the high school class rank, high school grades, college graduation rate, or Standardized Test Scores on the majority of their athletes when it comes time to provide the ranking organizations with "vital statistics."

There is too much propaganda at this place. If you are like me and deeply care about your education and future, don't make the same mistake I did. Don't apply here. If you decide to apply here and get accepted, do yourself a favor and decline the offer of acceptance and choose another university. There are plenty of great opportunities at the other U.C. Schools, especially those that focus more on academics rather than athletics. As for myself, I am in the process of transfering out of this place as soon as possible.

UCLA is extremely overated. Don't waste your time at this so called "place of higher learning." The classes are way too large and you are treated like a number. Take my advice and go to another university or college.
