Positive Negative Neutral Advice
It''s like most other competitive state universities. Not so bright
It''s like most other competitive state universities. Yes CSUF has a lot of commuters, but as of recent their are tons of people who live in the dorms, or have roomates and live in appartments and houses surrounding the school. It's worth noting that people who complain about how it's a commuter school and their isnt a great social life are the people who never try to get involved. Greek life on campus for instance has at least 10 big parties going on every weekend!!! All the negativity comes from people who aren't involved, because this is a big state school and people aren't going to come up to you and beg you to be part of their group, it's up to you to seek out friends.

Question
CSUF is an easy school to get into.AverageBusiness - Management and Administration
CSUF is an easy school to get into. It reminds me a lot of high school. You just don't get the true college experience here, all the events remind me of something I recall doing when I was 15.The teachers call themselves professors, but they aren't any more skilled than junior college instructors or high school teachers. If you can get into another college or university that is renowned and fun, you should go there instead because you will get to have a real college experience unlike CSUF. A lot of people don't think that the school has anything to be proud of and they say that CSUF isn't a real school, it's just like a continuation of high school. People outside of California don't even know about CSUF so why waste your time at a school that isn't nationally recognized if you can get into somewhere that will give you a first class education and cool social life?
